Black Rhino Radio și glo™ încep seria de expoziții OUT OF NOWHERE. Pe durata proiectului studioul Black Rhino Radio se transformă într-un spațiu expozițional, deschis publicului larg, cu scopul de a promova tineri artiști din zona artelor vizuale. 

Released on the 10th of September on EXPEDITion100, local producer Nerub releases Human Nature. Put on vinyl, Nerub draws a picture of the dichotomy between the nature of man and nature in and of itself with all facets of the existence of man and nature.

JAM CIRCLE is a series of live concerts meant to document the contemporary jazz scene from Romania, in order to support musicians in releasing their fresh works, bringing their performances into your home and heart. The project brings a new spark to the Romanian cultural landscape.

On the 13th of August, Black Rhina Radio goes to Cluj for a special session at Casa Tiff (Melo Melanj Record Shop). The notorious global fusion electronica anarchy London-based collective, Transglobal Underground, have teamed up with Transylvania’s Lil Obeah of the Sound of Art to Come label. Sometimes written as Trans-Global Underground or simply as TGU, the music collective is specialized in a fusion of western, Asian and African music styles.

After his debut single on the CXC release series in 2019, Romania-based DJ/Producer Brusten returns to Counterpoint Recordings, now with a 4-track EP for the main label. He invites fellow countryman Freqax and Mighty Boogie for 2 stunning collabs, and German MC Resc returns to drop his powerful vocals on ‘Res0nate’.

A day before its official release, Black Rhino Music is happy to be hosting an exclusive stream for Stefan Bachvarov’s return to Bulgarian label Amek Collective as Cyberian. His new full-length “Dark Orphism” releases tomorrow on vinyl limited to 222 copies and digital.

Following in the footsteps of last year's online festival experience IN/OUT joins forces with Platforma Wolff for another. A special 7h and 30 minutes event will be live from Platforma Wollf and broadcasted on Facebook for the 1st of May, starting 14:00 hours.

We start the new year with a fresh selection from the crates of Bucharest based records shop  Two Sides Records. This time we take a walk through jazz and electronic as we keep an eye on the ever soulful hip-hop. We have selected artists such as Planet Batagon, Shafiq Husayn, Da'asa, Abu Obaida Hassan, Gabriele Poso, Jeff Parker, and others.

This is the premiere of a new Peter Harris and Lee 'Scratch' Perry tune, Nothing is really something. This is a collaboration of the Jamaican legend with musician, concept artist and performer Peter Harris. The song also features mixing and drumming by Fritz Catlin of avant-funk, post-punk, experimental band 23 Skidoo.

December digging in the crates of Bucharest based records shop  Two Sides Records is bringing a selection of hip-hop, jazz, and ambient from artists such as Makaya McCraven, Esperanza Spalding, Fazer, Moscoman, The Mystery Kindaichi Band, Tenesha The Wordsmith, Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids, Inoyama Land, and Pale Cocoon.

World exclusive release of the Nohumaneye vs. Mark Stewart track Deep Time Dub (Mark Stewart Remix) as featured on the digital download compilation album called “Our Music: The Scene Without A Name” on Friday 4th December.  The album will also be released on a limited edition 7” acetate, limited to 50 and sold through Discogs.

Our monthly digging through the crates of Two Side Records store in Bucharest, brought our attention to some Japanese records. Seven out of ten records are based on this music. From city pop to jazz and electro, our findings brings out some amazing jams from the far island.

For August, we have selected another ten records from the shelves of our friends at Two Side Records, this time with a focus on Soundway Records. Four records will introduce you to the Soundway's specific sound, while the rest of six will walk you through rhythms of jazz, hip hop, reggae, and soul.
